  • Rakomelo is an alcoholic beverage made from raki and honey with the addition of spices such as cinnamon, cloves and other local Greek herbs.
  • The roots of the rakomelo date back to the 12th century Peloponnese, to Crete and to Amorgos.
  • Today, rakomelo is widely produced in Crete and other Aegean islands and is mainly consumed in winter as a hot drink.

The mini box contains:

  • Raki traditional distillate, made from grapes from the Cretan mountain vineyards.
  • Authentic honey, from flowers and pines.
  • Cinnamon and cloves.
  • 1 small glass fοr raki.

The authentic recipe

  1. Raki
  2. Honey, ½ teaspoon per dose
  3. Cinnamon sticks
  4. 1 clove per dose

Preparation: In a small pot add the raki with cinnamon and cloves.
Add honey and mix before it comes to boiling.
Remove the cocktail from the heat and serve hot in a small glass.
