How do we ship your Fresh Delicatessen

We ship European orders containing fresh products only from Monday to Wednesday (Extra-European fresh orders are dispatched on Monday and Tuesday only) in order to guarantee delivery within the next 24/48 hours. We want to avoid any risk that the fresh products remain in the couriers' warehouses for the whole weekend.

In case of large orders, more packages will be added to the same shipment: it will obviously be counted as 1 shipment even if there are more than 1 package.

We remind you that it is always the recipient's responsibility to collect the fresh goods in the correct times and immediately place them in the refrigerator in order to best preserve the products.

A special note about Cheese and Cold Cuts

We remind you that all the products we sell in the feta, cheese, halloumi and cold cuts collections are seasoned, so according to the latest regulations they do not need to be transported at 0-4 °C.

However, for added security, we ship food in thermal bags, which together with dry ice will keep the produce fresh. Most of these products here are vacuum-packed, so it's even safer they'll be fresh and edible when they arrive. These special measures allow the products to be preserved in the best possible way even in conditions of higher temperatures such as those sometimes present in Greece.

The cooler bags we use represent the highest industry standards for shipping food around the world. We then place the thermal bags in cardboard boxes and then sealed.

And the more delicate products such as Frozen goods, Ready Meals and Yogurt?

Ready meals, yogurt and frozen foods are more delicate and usually unseasoned products. In this case, the preparation does not differ particularly from seasoned products except for the more extensive use of materials for preserving the temperature.

We increase the number of frozen cells inside the thermal envelope, as well as increase the number of thermal envelopes used.

These precautions, combined with the use of express service guaranteed for delivery within 24/48 hours from departure from our warehouse, allow us to manage even the most delicate products in total safety.

For greater transparency and security, during the hottest months of the year (when here in Greece the temperature stabilizes at around 40 °C) we might suspend the shipment of these products.

Important advice for Frozen products

All the precautions that are taken in the preparation of shipments of refrigerated products are aimed at a correct purchasing experience on European territory. However, when refrigerated shipments take place outside Europe, it is more difficult to ensure that the products are kept at the correct temperature for a greater number of days.

In any case, whether the products are being shipped to Europe or outside Europe, refrigerated delivery cannot be guaranteed. The frozen products will then be delivered together with the other fresh products with packaging suitable for preserving the temperature of 4-6°C. We therefore recommend consuming frozen products in the hours immediately following delivery and not refrigerating them again.

What if the delivery is delayed or some products are damaged during shipment?

At Greek Flavours, we take special care of the way we package your products, we perfectly know that the journey from Greece to your place can be a long one. Bottles and fresh products receive special attention from our staff, being the most delicate products.

However, this does not completely eliminate the risk of damage and breakages and for this we are at your disposal.

What should I do when I receive a carton containing a damaged product?

  1. Always receive the package from the courier and once opened check if there is any damaged product
  2. Take pictures of damaged or broken products and email them at customers@greekflavours.com adding your order number for reference
  3. Our Customer Service will support you as soon as possible to find the most suitable solution.
Should I refuse the delivery of the package by the courier?

Please never refuse delivery as it may involve very high handling costs. In the face of a refused delivery by the customer, we will be forced to charge € 5 per kg of goods shipped, which is the equivalent cost to return the goods from your home to our warehouse in Greece.
