TASTING CHARACTERISTICS: Brilliant, light yellow in colour with greenish tints. Strong and lively nose, typical Malagouzia, which suggests rose petals with floral aromas and sweet spices, melon, litchi with honeysuckle note. Round and soft on the palate, fat but balanced, high in alcohol with plenty finesse. Well structured, with a hint of rosemary. A rich textured wine with superb length and balance. A classy wine with long finish and persistent aromas.
Florina Protected Geographical Indication
REGION: Amyndeon plateau, north-western Macedonia. 69ha of linear vineyard, privately owned, situated at an altitude of 620-710 m.
VINIFICATION METHOD: Skin contact under controlled conditions, alcoholic fermentation at gradual increasing temperatures, maintenance of wine “sur lies” for two months with regular handling.
FOOD PAIRING: Excellently paired with green salads, baked vegetables, pasta, low fat fish and a wide variety of Greek sea foods…the famous “meze”.
Ideally served at 11°C.
