Tasting Notes: The Assyrtiko of Santorini is a continuous tasting that delights every year. These varieties in terms of aromas and minerality come directly from the volcanic terroir, where small fluctuations in moisture content lead to large fluctuations in the soil, which is very sensitive to hydroclimatic changes due to the porosity of the soil. Assyrtiko can therefore only be a light straw yellow, mineral, citrus lemons and minerals, the expression of a great top-quality wine.

The Estate: The Assyrtiko Aidani Athiri Mandilaria and Mavrotragano varieties are grown on the Sigala estate on the beautiful island of Santorini in the valley behind Oia, the village with thousands of postcards with breathtaking views of the Santorini volcano. The Sigalas property is located in the old plain of Oia on Santorini. The most versatile variety of the Mediterranean, the Assyrtiko of Santorini as well as Adiani, Athiri, Mandilaria and Mavratragano, is best used for its organoleptic properties and produces high quality wines recognized in international competitions both in Greece and in both countries abroad.
