Melitzanosalata with smoked tea - 250g

Preparation: Everything starts by selecting the best fresh eggplants from the farmers of the Omvriakos valley, the choice of the correct ingredients is the basis for a successful recipe. Garlic, extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, which complete the recipe of melitzanosalata, are selected in the same way. The difference, however, consists in the addition of smoked tea coming from the surrounding mountains; a unique and distinctive ingredient able to give this aubergine spread an explosive flavour. The melitzanosalata, dating back to the Byzantine cuisine, has gradually become one of the most popular recipes in Greece, a flavourful and traditional recipe.
