Corfu Ionian Epos beer is the first barley wine (typical barley wine from Great Britain) produced in Greece inspired by an ancient recipe. The ancient historians Xenophon and Polybius in some of their works mention the word “κρίθινος οίνος” (krithinos oinos, in other words barley wine).
History: The journey through time began in 2006. The founders of the Brewery Spyros Kaloudis and his son Thanasis, who laid the foundation for the company's values, began to write the history of Corfu Beer. To this end, the Corfu Brewery has invested in technology and knowledge to bring completely innovative products to the market. Our research and development team offers a wide enough range of products to meet most consumer needs, but also to keep developing new products. It is the most innovative subversive and innovative value that there is at least in the Greek market.
Taste and appearance: especially its amber color - dark red and white foam tending to beige. Characterized by a broad and strong scent of forest berries with notes of caramel and resonance. Caramel, citrus fruits and honey come together on the palate.
