The name Kolokithakia Gemista actually means stuffed zucchini in Greek and it describes this meal perfectly! It is all about fresh zucchini stuffed with a mix of ground meat, onion and spices. The filled zucchini are slowly cooked in the pot and when they are almost ready, an amazing Avgolemono sauce is added, creating this amazing white and creamy finish. It is a very impressive dish, because of its' presentation but also because of its' amazing taste! It is a well balanced meal between meat and vegetables and it can be part of a full and healthy diet.
Heating instructions: 1) remove the external packagin - 2) pierce the sealing into two spots with a fork - 3) heat in preheated conventional oven at 180°C for 10-12 minutes or in the microwave for 2-3 minutes (800W) - 4) remove the film, the meal is ready to be consumed.
Ingredients: 50% zucchini, 15% rice, 12,5% minced meat (EU) (50% beef, 50% pork), carrot, water, onion, wheat flour, maize starch, 1,2% extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, egg yolk, cooking salt, concentrated lemon juice, garlic, parsley, spearmint, dill, black pepper, spices. It may contain traces of milk, mustard, celery, soy, sesame, sulphites, nuts, fish, shrimps and crabs.
