Bougatsa is Thessaloniki's iconic pie with a very long history.
Sheets of crunchy phyllo dough with delicious and abundant cheese filling inside, made from mizithra and feta.
It is the best delight to have on your table, easy to make and delicious!
This recipe first appeared in the 16th century but it became popular in Greece after the destruction of Asia Minor, in 1922.
With only one bite of Bougatsa, the mind starts wandering around the small roads of Thessaloniki, where the smell of Bougatsa is dominant everywhere!

Instructions: Defrost the product at room temperature for 10’. The tray is suitable for the oven. Preheat the oven at 180°–200°C. Bake at 180°C without air for 30’. To keep the pie crispy do not cover it.
