Product Description

The soul of Epirus, matured in oak.

Experience the definitive taste of Greece with our Epirus Heritage Barrel-Aged Feta PDO. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, this exceptional cheese is aged for months in handcrafted oak barrels, staying true to the methods used before the industrial era.

The natural interaction between the wood and the cheese creates a profile that is both complex and bold. You can expect a firmer texture and a sophisticated, slightly spicy finish that sets it apart from standard tin-aged varieties.

  • Authentic Origin: Produced in the Epirus region using milk from free-grazing sheep and goats.
  • Traditional Maturation: Aged in oak to develop a robust, "old-world" flavour profile.
  • Artisanal Quality: Each block is hand-cut and vacuum-sealed to preserve its unique character.
  • Sugar-Free & Pure: A natural, high-protein choice for traditional Greek salads, pastries, or gourmet cheese boards.

Bring a piece of Greek history to your table with a Feta that prioritises depth of flavour over industrial speed.

Useful Information

Why Barrel-Aged?

In the centuries-old tradition of Epirus, Feta was always matured in wood. The barrel allows the cheese to "breathe," resulting in a firmer texture and a sharper, more spicy tang. While tin-aged Feta is milder and softer, our Epirus Heritage version is crafted for those who appreciate the intense, original character of Greek mountain cheese.
