Product Description

Crispy, golden, and irresistibly aromatic, Kourkoubinia are one of Greece’s most beloved traditional sweets. Originally prepared during Lent, they’ve become an all-year favourite thanks to their light crunch and fragrant citrus-cinnamon syrup.

 

Each bite is a small roll of hand-cut phyllo pastry (approx. 2 cm), baked until crisp and then coated in a warm syrup made with cinnamon, orange, and lemon. The result is a perfectly balanced sweet: crunchy on the outside, delicately syrupy on the inside.

 

Inside each pack, you’ll find around 20 phyllo bites, ideal for sharing, gifting, or pairing with Greek yoghurt, ice cream, coffee, or tea.

Store owner replied: Buongiorno Patrizia, su questo il suo riscontro è fondato nel senso letterale: i kourkoubinia sono fra i dolci più dolci della pasticceria greca, perché il phyllo viene immerso nello sciroppo di agrumi e cannella e lo trattiene. È la costruzione del dolce, non la variabilità di un'infornata. Le segnaliamo che la pasticceria greca ha anche un versante molto meno zuccherino, dai koulourakia ai biscotti da inzuppo.
