Product Description

Organic rizogalo from the Gaitanidis family in Karditsa

The Gaitanidis family makes its dairy products in Karditsa, in the plain of Thessaly, with 100% fresh Greek milk. This organic rizogalo has four ingredients: pasteurised whole cow's milk, rice and sugar, all three from organic farming, and vanilla. It carries the EU organic logo (certifier GR-BIO-03). Each pack holds three cups of 180g.

Made with whole milk, it is creamy, with the vanilla clear in the background and no cinnamon in the cup, so you can add it to taste, the way many Greek families do at the table. It is eaten cold.

For the everyday rizogalo with cinnamon, there is the Dimitriou rizogalo from Attica. The Gaitanidis family's organic sheep's yogurt in clay pots comes from the same dairy.

How to enjoy it

  • Cold, with a pinch of cinnamon or grated lemon zest
  • As the dessert of a family meal, one cup each
  • With a spoonful of Greek spoon sweet or a drizzle of thyme honey
  • With a Greek coffee in the afternoon
