Product Description

Experience one of Greece’s most comforting and aromatic desserts: Karidopita, the traditional walnut cake soaked in warm, spiced syrup.

Handmade daily in a family bakery in Athens, this cake is soft, moist, and deeply fragrant — thanks to a generous amount of roasted walnuts, cinnamon, and clove. Its texture is rich yet delicate, with each slice offering a perfect balance of nutty depth and sweet spiced syrup.

This is the dessert that has accompanied Greek family gatherings, festive meals, and Sunday lunches for generations.

Suggested Pairings:

  • A dollop of Greek yoghurt drizzled with Cretan thyme honey
  • Mastiha liqueur or Tsipouro served chilled
  • Greek coffee or mountain tea
  • A touch of fresh orange zest for extra brightness
