Product Description

Three Greek yogurts, three milks: cow, sheep, and cow with 20% donkey milk

Three yogurts from three Greek dairies, chosen to be tasted side by side, so you can find the difference the milk makes and decide which one to order again. Each one ships fresh, as it always does.

  • Strained cow's yogurt 6%, milk from Karditsa, Thessaly: 2 jars of 500g
  • Organic sheep yogurt in clay pots by the Gaitanidis family, Neo Ikonio, Karditsa: 3 pots of 200g
  • Tsantilas yogurt with 20% donkey milk by the Avramidis family dairy, Kastoria, since 1974: organic cow's milk with 20% organic donkey milk, strained in cloth bags, 3 pots of 180g

Eight pots, 2.14kg of yogurt in total.

Which one first

Start with the sheep yogurt: it has the shortest life of the three, about a week. Then the Tsantilas with donkey milk, which arrives with 20 to 25 days of life. Keep the strained cow's yogurt for last: it arrives with about 45 days.

Taste each one plain before adding honey or fruit. The strained cow's yogurt is thick and creamy, with anthogalo, the layer of cream that forms on full-fat milk. The Tsantilas is spoon-thick and velvety.

How to use them

  • Greek breakfast: one yogurt a day, with thyme honey and walnuts
  • The strained cow's yogurt for tzatziki and sauces
  • The sheep yogurt as a side to lamb, keftedes or stuffed vegetables
  • The Tsantilas plain, to taste the milk

The crossed-out price is what the same yogurts cost when bought one by one. Each yogurt also has its own page: sheep yogurt in clay pots, strained cow's yogurt 6%, Tsantilas with 20% donkey milk.

Traditional Greek Strained Cow Yogurt 6% – Naturally Creamy, High-Protein (500g)

Team Greek Flavours

Customer video review of Greek Protein “Tsantilas” Yogurt with 20% Organic Donkey Milk – Naturally Strained, High Protein, Ultra Creamy (3x180g)

Greek Protein “Tsantilas” Yogurt with 20% Organic Donkey Milk – Naturally Strained, High Protein, Ultra Creamy (3x180g)

The taste/creamy-ness was not as I had expected of a 6% yoghurt. I really did not like the “thin” taste

Traditional Greek Strained Cow Yogurt 6% – Naturally Creamy, High-Protein (500g)

Store owner replied: Hello Gitte, thank you for the feedback, we're sorry the texture did not match what you expected from a 6% strained yogurt. If you would like us to check this specific batch, feel free to share the lot code from the packaging with us at customers@greekflavours.com, we're happy to look into it. Team Greek Flavours
