    Four peinirli to fill and bake at home

    This box has everything that goes into peinirli, the boat-shaped Greek pita baked with cheese: four pita bases, kasseri and barrel feta for the filling, soutzouki and Cretan loukaniko for the top, olive oil and oregano to finish. All you need is the oven.

    What's in the box

    Baked peinirli

    Everything comes from the box. If you have frozen the bases, bake them straight from the freezer, without thawing.

    1. Heat the oven to 200°C.
    2. Fill each base with kasseri and crumbled feta.
    3. Lay slices of soutzouki or loukaniko on top. Both are eaten cooked: they cook in the oven with the pita.
    4. Add a drizzle of Karpea olive oil and a pinch of oregano.
    5. Bake until the edges are golden, and eat them hot.

    How it arrives: each product comes in its original producer packaging, packed together in a single shipment.

    The cheeses, the soutzouki and the loukaniko go in the fridge as soon as the box arrives, the peinirli pita in the freezer. Consume each product by the date printed on its pack.

    • Peinirli pita: wheat flour 58% (wheat flour (EU & non-EU), wheat gluten, malt, acidity regulator: sodium carbonate, flour improvers: ascorbic acid, L-cysteine, enzymes), water, salt, yeast, stabilisers (xanthan gum, guar gum), emulsifier (mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), dextrose, enzymes, preservative (calcium propionate)
    • Barrel feta PDO "Arcadia Reserve": pasteurised sheep's milk (>70%) and/or goat's milk (<30%), cultures, rennet, salt
    • Armenian-style soutzouki in slices: beef 42%, pork 30%, beef fat 10% (all from the EU), water, soy protein, salt, cumin, pepper, barley, garlic, fenugreek, flavour enhancer monosodium glutamate, allspice, stabiliser triphosphates (E451i), antioxidants sodium erythorbate (E316) and sodium ascorbate (E301), preservative sodium nitrite, dextrose.     • Peinirli pita: in the freezer from arrival, up to 12 months from the production date; bake from frozen, without thawing. Otherwise up to 3 days at room temperature or 6 days in the fridge (0–4°C) from the production date. Eat straight after baking
    • Barrel feta PDO "Arcadia Reserve": in the fridge at 2–4°C
    • Kasseri: in the fridge; once opened, reseal carefully and eat within a few days
    • Soutzouki: in the fridge at 0–4 °C; eat it well cooked
    • Loukaniko: in the fridge at 0–5 °C; eat it cooked (grilled, fried or boiled)
    • Karpea olive oil: in a cool, dark place
