From Pantry to Table: Traditional Recipes
This kit is designed to help you replicate the authentic flavours of Greek tavernas. Here are three perfect ways to make the most of your new ingredients:
- Fried Feta with Honey: Wrap your Epirus Feta in filo pastry or a sesame seed crust, fry until golden, and drizzle generously with Byzantine Honey. The ultimate sweet and savoury contrast.
- Traditional Santorini Fava: Boil the Farsala fava beans until they form a smooth purée. Dress generously with Karpea Extra Virgin Olive Oil, raw red onion, and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
- Horiatiki (Greek Salad): Chop fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion. Add your Kalamata Olives and place a large block of Feta on top. Finish with oregano and a heavy pour of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Origin & Storage
- Origin: 100% Greece.
- Storage (Oil & Honey): Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Pure honey tends to crystallise naturally: simply warm it gently in a bain-marie to make it runny again.
- Storage (Feta & Olives): Once opened, keep refrigerated. To keep the feta fresh for longer, store it in its brine or in slightly salted water.
