Ideal for…
Food lovers, aged cheese enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a refined gourmet gift with real Greek character.
San Michali PDO is one of Greece’s rarest and most distinctive cheeses, produced exclusively on the Cycladic island of Syros. Often called the “Parmesan of the Cyclades”, it stands out for its cow’s milk base — a true exception in a country dominated by sheep and goat cheeses.
Local cows feed on aromatic island herbs, giving the cheese its unmistakable profile: buttery on the nose, savoury and slightly spicy on the palate, with a compact texture and long finish.
This is a cheese made to be noticed. Enjoy it shaved over pasta, melted in the oven, or served in thin flakes on a gourmet cheese board. It brings depth without heaviness and elevates even the simplest dishes.
Perfect for:
- Grating over pasta and baked dishes
- Gourmet cheese boards and aperitifs
- Enhancing salads with bold character
- Mediterranean recipes that call for intensity
Taste profile:
- Savoury
- Buttery
- Gently spicy
